VonHof Welcomes Tony Utitus as the New Cyclocross Masters Ambassador

All of us at VonHof Cycles want to welcome Anthony Utitus as our new Masters Cyclocross Ambassador. Tony will be sporting the red, orange and yellow of VonHof Cycles at local New Jersey courses for the rest of the season. The cold weather that post-Halloween racing brings might stir a few fair weather riders to throw in the towel, but Tony has plenty of races left on the docket in the coming months.

Although I’ve seen Tony on the course at plenty of events, from last year’s New Jersey State Championship to HPCX only a week ago, I was able to get to know him well over the past week. He discovered cyclocross in 2012, and like most of us, was addicted to the sport from the get go. During the offseason, he treated himself to a new 1x drivetrain with a narrow/wide Wolf Tooth Components chainring and Shimano Ultegra shifters. These, combined with the experience of four cyclocross seasons, have helped him enter the 2015-16 season putting up a big fight against a growing field of competition.

Once he saw our American made frames, it was love at first sight, and he knew he would need a VonHof CX frame to make his dream build for the year complete. We are making that dream a reality, and you’ll be seeing him on a VonHof in the Mid-Atlantic soon enough. He’ll be throwing it down with the other Masters this weekend at BubbleCross, and he will be following along in the clinic presented by the Cyclocross Magazine Racing Team.
